Don't want to get too James Lileks on you, but there are a lot of these books out there.

I still have no clue how to plan a party, but I'm keeping this book for the next time I need it.

Bernard Kliban "Whack Your Porcupine"

Bernard Kliban was published in Playboy in the 1970s, and eventually got into drawing lots of cats. He also did several great cartoon collections, including this one, "Whack Your Porcupine" and "Never Eat Anything Bigger Than Your Head".

The cartoons are funny and thought-provoking. These books aren't in print right now, but are dirt cheap on the used market. Highly recommended.

Time Tunnel Novel

By the way, if you were at the premiere, here's what I was wearing:

Ginny Gordon and the Broadcast Mystery

I took a copy of this book from my sister when we were little. Years later, I felt guilty and bought this copy on eBay. I'll give it to her someday. Click the pic for a screensaver sized shot.

Radio Boys With The Border Patrol

A bunch of guys use biplanes and that new-fangled radio device, and with the help of the Mexican consul and Mexican police, foil a plot to transport illegal Orientals through America's southern border. From 1929.
