I'm On The Tonight Show

Here's an embarrassing tape from Nov 1 1995. I was in Los Angeles for a computer animation convention and went to see the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Guests that evening were Alec Baldwin, Brooke Shields, and Dwight Yoakum. But I got caught on camera during the monologue. Enjoy my shame below:

Ernie Anderson Star Trek TNG Promos

Here are some promos I found the other day. Ernie Anderson was a prolific voiceover guy for almost fifty years, but here's a show that I wouldn't have remembered him from - Star Trek TNG.

Mazeppa Pompazoidi

Gailard Sartain had his own late night TV show in Tulsa back in the early 70s, and it's attained cult status among those who remember it. His host name was Mazeppa Pompazoidi. Local guy Gary Busey was also on the show. A friend who used to watch the show loaned me this record:

I Met Captain Kangaroo

Back in 1989, my son was signed up for a brand new day care center in Nashville. I went to the opening ceremony and guess who was on the corporate board? That's right, Lamar and Honey Alexander. But also Bob Keeshan, Captain Kangaroo! I went up and asked for a pic of him with my son Will. Click for souvenir-sized pic:


Seeing the Captain was one thing, but when I heard his voice I thought I was three years old again. He was truly as nice and soft-spoken as everyone says. That was a good day.

Time Tunnel Novel

Here's a book I picked up as a kid in the 60s. Time Tunnel was one of my favorite shows, and Murray Leinster (Will Jenkins) did a good job on the novels. This was the second book, but the novels ended when the series did. Click for larger pic, from 1967.
