The Omni Hut in Smyrna Tennessee

The Omni Hut is another one of those restaurants that are local treasures. It's in Smyrna, Tennessee, just north of Murfreesboro, and accessible from I-840. Here are some shots from a recent Friday night visit. Click any pic to enlarge.



The interior is just what you'd hope for.

The service is quick and attentive.

The waiting area is filled every night. Omni Hut is open 5:30-9:30pm Tuesday through Saturday.

Flaming Steer Restaurant & Anchor Motel

Here's another postcard, this time from Nashville. The Anchor Motel and the Flaming Steer Restarant were next door to each other on West End Avenue. Check out the prices on the Flaming Steer sign. I think this card is from the early 70s. Both places are gone now, replaced by a Hampton Inn.
